Romeo V. Arahan, Jr. graduated with a degree in Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University. During college, he was involved in Kaingin, an organization advocating social justice through education by providing formation seminars and member development trainings. He served as their Vice President for Formations.

Immediately after graduation, he further immersed in the field of development when he worked as an Assistant Program Manager of Southwest Maritime Scholarship Program. He was tasked to create and deliver modules that cater to holistic development of the scholars while providing mentoring and academic support sessions.

He then had a brief stint at Tholons, Inc. as a Research Assistant, providing supplementary research and data gathering activities to help clients in their decision-making process. Later on, he left corporate research to continue his commitment for development work by joining SEDPI as a Program Officer.

Since joining SEDPI, he has delivered sessions on Financial Management, Delinquency Management, Character and Capacity-Based Lending, and Risk Management and Internal Audit. He has also conducted several researches with the SEDPI team, including a research on typhoon microinsurance. Along with his teammates, Meong extends assistance to clients through the Technical and Mentoring Assistance program.
